Selena Gomez thanks fans, reveals name of 'angel' mom miscarried
Selena Gomez on Monday thanked fans for their support in the wake of her mom's miscarriage, and shared the name of the "guardian angel" who would have been her little sis: Scarlett.
"Belated Merry Christmas everybody," Gomez wrote on Facebook and Twitter. "I can't thank you enough for all of your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate every one of you. I love you all so much and we hope you and your family had a beautiful Christmas!
"Love, Me, Momma, Brian and our guardian angel Scarlett. God bless."
The singer and "Wizards of Waverly Place" star canceled two holiday concerts this month after learning Dec. 16 that her mother, Mandy Teefey, had suffered a miscarriage. Gomez in November had bubbled, "I'm the happiest girl in the world!" as she shared the news that she was going to be a big sis.
