Britney Spears is reportedly engaged to marry Jason Trawick, her former agent, and her beau since 2009.
‘OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for,’ Spears said Friday on Twitter. ‘Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!!’
That ‘one gift’ was an engagement ring featuring a three-carat round stone and pave diamonds on the band, an insider told Us Weekly exclusively, describing the ring as ‘very traditional.’
Trawick popped the question after a romantic dinner for his 40th birthday on Thursday night, Us said. The singer just turned 30. ‘This is something they’ve both wanted for a long time,’ said the source, who confirmed the engagement to the mag. ‘It’s a way to cement their family.’
He reportedly surprised her after she’d given him his birthday gifts.
Spears has two sons, Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5, from her two-year marriage to Kevin Federline, which ended in 2006. Trawick was her agent from 2006 until May, when he left William Morris Endeavor to start his own company.
