Kim Kardashian is safe and sound. It turns out the reports of kidnap and death threats on the set of Tyler Perry’s “The Marriage Counselor” were all a bunch of rumors.

In reality, fans were upset with Perry for casting the reality TV star in his latest film, and had no problem expressing their anger and frustration on his website.

One commenter, H.R. Hudson wrote, “I urge you to not cast Kim in your movie, ‘The Marriage Counselor.’ Kim Kardashian has no respect for the sacred institution of marriage. And treats it as if it’s a joke.”

But the hubbub over the casting news never went anywhere and Kardashian’s reps confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that there was “no truth” to the gossip.

Fueling the drama was a report by MediaTakeOut.com suggesting that Kim had “extra heavy’ security on set and a joke Holly Robinson Peete made on Access Hollywood Live.

“We can always count on Tyler Perry to give a ‘blacktress’ a job,” Peete said on the show. “So, all across the world ‘blacktresses’ are upset.”

Despite the criticism and rumors, Kim, who is set to play marriage counselor Judith’s best friend Ava, isn’t going anywhere. Perry confirmed to TMZ, ‘She is scheduled to work as planned.’

Kim could certainly use the distraction. Just this week her ex-publicist told the New York Post that her whole wedding was staged, while her ex, Kris Humphries, decided to lawyer up.
