Mark-Paul Gosselaar is engaged to Catriona McGinn

Mark-Paul Gosselaar of "Franklin & Bash" is engaged to Catriona McGinn, having popped the question last week and sealed the deal with a big ol' rock.

The ring, with a 3-carat center stone and total of 5 carats in diamonds, was created by Neil Lane with the actor's input -- working off a picture provided by the bride-to-be, said People, which first reported the engagement.

Gosselaar and McGinn, an ad exec who coincidentally looks a like a supermodel, have reportedly been making the red-carpet rounds for a few months now.

"She's absolutely gorgeous, she's stunning, and she takes my breath away," Gosselaar, 37, told Us Weekly last weekend. "Catriona's great with my kids. My kids absolutely adore her."

The actor has two children, Michael, 7, and Ava, 5, with Lisa Ann Russell, whom he met in 1993 when she was on an episode of his series "Saved by the Bell" and married in 1996. They separated in June 2010, with the divorce final at the end of May. 

In addition to "Bell" and the just-renewed "Bash," Gosselaar's resume includes "Saved by the Bell: The College Years." Perhaps McGinn said yes because of his work in "NYPD Blue"?
