Jenelle Evans, star of ‘Teen Mom 2,’ seems to be nurturing her arrest record. Evans, who gained fame on MTV’s ’16 and Pregnant’ before graduating to ‘Teen Mom 2,’ was arrested Monday after reportedly testing positive for marijuana and opiates during a meeting with her parole officer.

There’s a question not everyone gets a chance to ask herself: Should I smoke some blunt before I see my parole officer? But it’s the answers to such questions that can steer life in new directions.

Just ask the young women who have found fame by starting off as pregnant teenagers in MTV’s ’16 and Pregnant.’ When the show was launched in June 2009, it was billed by MTV as a cautionary tale, meant to provide inspiration. The girls worked for little pay while attending school and trying to deal with baby-daddies who made themselves scarce.

Here is what not to do, it seemed to say -- until the fame came. Followed by the dubious honor of being supermarket tabloid fodder. Witness the trials and tribulations of Amber Portwood, the first ‘Teen Mom’ to spin off and also spin out. In June, police went to Portwood’s home after getting a 911 call that she’d threatened to kill herself.

For Evans, mother of Jace, 2, her troubles with the law are multiplying.

In April, the teen mom was sentenced to 12 months’ probation after pleading guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. According to her attorney, interviewed by ABC News, Evans violated probation by spending time with her sometime boyfriend, himself ‘a known drug user.’

Among her upcoming court dates is one that also will deal with an alleged assault that occurred in March. The fight, of course, was caught on video.
