Hilary Duff is pregnant, expecting a baby with Mike Comrie, her husband of one year.

‘I can’t believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you’re having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that ... BABY MAKES THREE,’ she wrote in a wedding anniversary post on her official website.

‘We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives.’

Wait, wasn’t it just May when Duff was telling ‘Access Hollywood’ she and Comrie thought that a baby could ‘wait just a little while longer,’ so she could record a new album? Guess the couple has now defined ‘a little while.’

‘Wow! I am just overwhelmed by all of the wonderful messages everyone is sending!,’ the 23-year-old said on Twitter a few hours after the announcement went up. ‘Thank you so much! Big hugs! Xxo.’

Comrie, a 30-year-old free agent most recently with the Pittsburgh Penguins, announced last week that he’ll be taking time off from hockey to allow full post-surgical rehab on his hip.
