Jason Momoa, Rose McGowan at a leggy 'Conan the Barbarian' debut
The "Conan the Barbarian" red carpet was long on muscle and short on hemlines, with star Jason Momoa rocking 6 feet 4 inches of action-hero goodness outside L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday night.
"Criminal Minds" actress Rachel Nichols, Momoa's love interest in the film, was among the ladies showing lots of leg -- lots of leg -- along with fellow cast members Katarzyna Wolejnio and Alina Puscau.
Villainously witchy "Conan" costar Rose McGowan and Momoa co-pilot Lisa Bonet were among those playing the long game, however, joined by actress Zoe Kravitz, Bonet's daughter with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz. Bonet and Momoa have a 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old daughter together as well.
Note: It was the witch and the girlfriend who got kisses passed down from Momoa's 6-foot-4 altitude.
Though she wasn't the one who got to take it home, McGowan found her costar's body "epic" -- specifically his muscular bum, she told the Advocate. Her sequin gown by Blumarine worked its way gradually from bright blue at the halter top to light green at its floor-length bottom, throwing a splash of mermaid chic into the barbarian mix.
And don't be fooled by that natty suit: According to Hero Complex, Momoa added 30 pounds of muscle to his frame in 2010 to prep for "Conan" and also "Game of Thrones," the HBO series on which he played warrior-king Khal Drogo.
And how does one do that? Well, 56 chicken breasts a week help a lot.
Other cast members on the carpet included Ron Perlman, Bob Sapp and Leo Howard, who plays Conan as a boy. Also spotted: Tom Arnold with wife Ashley Groussman, "True Blood" actor Michael Raymond-James and Elsa Pataky of "Fast Five."
Conan the Barbarian," a remake of the 1992 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, opens Aug. 19.
