Don’t be fooled by Adam Levine’s slinky tees and leather jackets -- though ‘The Voice’ coach adheres to the rock-star dress code well, he’d much rather be naked.

Maroon 5 singer Levine believes his birthday suit is the one that fits him best, and is right at home appealing to men and women alike.

‘I just love being as naked as possible all the time -- it feels really natural to me,’ he told Out magazine. ‘I’m extremely comfortable in my sexuality, so I can think, ‘Oh, that’s a good-looking dude. Acknowledging that someone’s attractive and wanting to [sleep with] a dude are two different things.’

Pansexual appeal makes for an effective frontman, said Levine, who grew up with a gay brother and has admitted being promiscuous himself. Some of rock’s greatest lead singers have been the most ambiguous, he noted.

‘If people didn’t think there was a small chance I was gay, then I wouldn’t be doing my job very well,’ he said. ‘Look at the best ones, guys whose sexuality was always questioned. Bowie. Jagger. Freddie Mercury.’

‘I wouldn’t be the frontman of a band if that question hadn’t come up at some point.”
