Get ready to take a powder, Lady Gaga: Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin are the ones glamming up this time around for the annual Viva Glam campaign.

MAC’s long-running charity initiative to benefit its AIDS fund has always tapped visible celeb faces to promote the cause. Martin and Minaj will replace 2010’s famous faces Gaga and Cyndi Lauper.

By the company’s count, Martin is only the third male to be invited into the fold, joining Elton John and Boy George. That said, we’d like to note that way back in the day, RuPaul was the original face of Viva Glam.

Sales of the limited-edition Viva Glam lip shades have raised $218,000,000 over the years for MAC’s AIDS fund, established in 1994. The new campaign was being shot Monday in Miami by photographer David LaChapelle, said New York magazine.

How do you think Nicki and Ricky will stack up against previous Glam spokesfolk, including Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliot, Fergie and, of course, RuPaul?
