Justin Timberlake accepts Marine Cpl. Kelsey de Santis' invite to the ball
Justin Timberlake has accepted Marine Cpl. Kelsey de Santis' invitation to the Marine Corps Ball in Washington, D.C., schedule permitting.
"If my schedule works out to do it, I'd love to do it. It's an honor," he said Friday said at a media event to promote the film "Friends with Benefits."
"I don't get asked out ever, so I was very flattered by that," Timberlake said by way of explanation, according to CNN. Her call-out of his song "Cry Me a River" was something he loved, but not the clincher.
It won't be a double date with his costar Mila Kunis and Marine Sgt. Scott Moore, despite the cuteness of that concept. The birthday ball is a nationwide celebration for the U.S. Marine Corps, and Moore invited Kunis to the Nov. 18 festivities in North Carolina, where his unit is based. Di Santis, the only woman at the Martial Arts Center for Excellence (MACE) at Marine Corps Base Quantico, in Virginia, will be partying in her neck of the woods on Nov. 12.
Timberlake and Jessica Biel broke up earlier this year, following in the footsteps of Kunis and Macaulay Culkin.
Check it out: De Santis is the one in the red gloves. Go all the way to the bottom to see her asking Timberlake to the ball.
