Jennifer Lopez celebrates 42nd birthday with dinner in Miami

Jennifer Lopez kept things simple and sweet for her 42nd birthday, enjoying a luxurious dinner for 16 close friends and family in Miami.

Lopez’s mother, Guadalupe, her manager, her stylist and one of her sisters were among those who gathered at the Hotel Fontainbleau on Saturday, hitting Scott Conant’s celeb-friendly eatery Scarpetta for foie gras ravioli and polenta.

‘Jennifer looked radiant in a purple and silver evening dress,’ a source told People, ‘and when they brought out her birthday cake after the meal, she began to sing. She was very happy ... they closed down the restaurant.’

Obviously missing from the group was Marc Anthony, Lopez’s recently estranged husband. The pair caused a stir only 10 days ago, announcing that they had mutually agreed to end their seven-year marriage.

Prior to the birthday dinner, Lopez indulged in some retail therapy in the swanky Bal Harbour shopping district, scoring outfits for her twins Max and Emme from Bonpoint.

Lopez turned 42 on Sunday.
