Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are planning to play it safe with a pre-nup, TMZ reports.

While Kim is a bona fide mogul worth a reported $35 million, her fiancé isn’t bad off either. The New Jersey Nets basketball player is worth about $8 million thanks to his NBA career, where’s he’s pulling a $3.2 million salary, and his family’s burger joints in Minnesota.

Sources tell TMZ that the couple believes a prenuptial agreement is “the smart thing to do.”

Humphries popped the question on May 18 with a 20.5-carat ring, surprising Kim in her room with the proposal ‘Will you marry me?’ spelled out in rose petals. Since then, Kardashian has been putting to rest baby rumors, while dodging questions about keeping her last name.
