Jennifer Aniston

and Courteney Cox are still best friends, her rep maintains, despite a report that the famous pair had a falling out.

Aniston and Cox, longtime pals since their days on ‘Friends,’ have been experiencing ‘tension’ since Cox’s separation from David Arquette, according to the report from Us magazine.

‘It’s completely false -- there was no falling out,’ Aniston’s rep told the Ministry in an email. ‘Jennifer has always and continues to consider Courteney a dear and close friend.’

The Us report quoted an insider as saying ‘Jen thinks Courteney is acting callous’ by spending time with ‘Cougartown’ costars Brian Van Holt and Josh Hopkins, without formally filing for divorce from Arquette.

Another tidbit that would suggest Aniston and Cox are still total BFFs: Aniston reportedly introduced Cox to her new beau, actor and writer Justin Theroux.

Aniston reportedly held a small to-do for her friends to meet Theroux on Friday, attended by Cox and Chelsea Handler, among others.

‘They all had a great time and enjoyed Justin’s company,’ a source told People magazine.
