Royal honeymoon: Kate and William headed to Hollywood?

Royal honeymoon might bring Prince William and Kate Middleton to Hollywood?

Are Prince William and Kate Middleton, the duke and duchess of Cambridge, headed to Hollywood?  The royal couple could be gracing the Ministry's hometown as early as July, if a new rumor pans out.

Longtime royal-family journalist Andrew Morton suggests that aides to the newlyweds have penciled a two-day visit to sunny Los Angeles in their official diary, on the heels of a visit to Canada -- around July 1 -- their first official journey as man and wife.

"It looks likely that David and Victoria Beckham, who were guests at the royal wedding on Friday, would be involved," Morton writes.

As we hyperventilate with excitement over a possible royal visit, we're even more enthralled with what their trip might have in store. A tour of the Universal Studios Hollywood back lot? Dinner with Posh and Becks at Soho House?

When the Beckhams relocated from London to L.A., they got a star-studded reception bash from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett. Would the duke and duchess deserve anything less?

Whether a Southern California jaunt awaits the royal honeymooners -- and we know how accurate earlier speculation turned out to be -- nothing is official. St. James Palace confirmed that the pair delayed an immediate honeymoon in favor of a weekend getaway after their April 29 nuptials, with a longer trip overseas to follow.

If Kate and William were planning a short trip to L.A., which must-see sights would you recommend?

Santa Barbara is a must see! And many superstars live there and walk around freely without being bothered!

DUDE THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOO not happening....and even if it did it would be like "WHAT THE HELL!" --

I like the view from the Getty Museum, when it isn't smoggy. Very dramatic. The Villa dei Papyri Getty is also nice. My favorite beaches are in Orange County. They should see surfers, but Australia also has them. Universal Studios - sure. And meeting their favorite movie stars, if they haven't already seen them in London. There IS a precedent for this when Lord Mountbatten and his wife visited Charlie Chaplin in LA and also made a short movie with him during the silent era. Mountbatten was William's father's favorite uncle.

Oh, I know what I forgot to mention - Yosemite and also (weather permitting - better in the winter, actually) Death Valley.

This is wishful thinking on Andrew Morton's part. The newly titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not into Holywood-type celebrity get-attention popularization . Going to Holywood would not be of significant value to UK and to the crown. Of course if similar offer is given to the Duchess of York, it would be a different story.

If they visit LA, it will be so embarrassing. This city is so ugly compared to other american cities and especially compared to London. Simply embarassing. This city is an embarassment to anyone, let alone royalty! Sorry.

Your spelling is embarrassing.

Not going to happen. As for what I'd recommend...I'd tell them to go somewhere better. I'm a native Angeleno, too. lol This city just isn't what it's hyped up to be. I've shown lots of friends from out of town and overseas around and they were all disappointed. I'm sure royalty has higher standards than the average Joe. So if my pals were disappointed, there probably isn't a word for what Will & Kate would feel about this place.

Kate is absolutely beautiful. She is as lovely as any Royal bride to ever come before her. I hope she will be much happier in her marriage than most every other Royal bride before her.
There is an old rumor that marriage destroys a good friendship. I hope it is not true in their case. I would really love to see them thirty years from now still in love and happy.

the picture is beutiful and kate is gorgeous I hope they have a happy life together and may become king and queen some day.and prince william is so.....HOT!
