Keanu Reeves talks 'Bill & Ted' three-quel
Keanu Reeves says there will be a third installment of the cult "Bill & Ted" franchise.
Dude.
The actor, who played Ted in the films, had previously said that original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon were "going to try and see if they can write something."
And while promoting his indie comedy "Henry's Crime," he told MTV Monday that he believed "the writers are six weeks away from a draft."
The previous films, "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey," hit theaters in 1989 and 1991, respectively, and costarred Alex Winter as Bill. The actors, who in "Excellent Adventure" played high schoolers traveling through time to piece together a history project, are now in their mid-40s -- and Reeves says that's "pretty excellent."
"The Matrix" star said the third film will likely build on the previous story lines.
"When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened," Reeves told MTV. "So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."
Do you think a third installment would be excellent or bogus?

Awesome! I hope they do :D
Also, I would love for Sandra Bullock to play in it as well :D I've always loved Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock together on and off screen. They're so happy when they're around each other and I would just love for her to be his love interest if they make it.
Heck. I want them to end up dating/marrying :P They're so perfect for each other :) I wish they'd try it out!

The folks who enjoyed the first movie are all grown up but they still haven't matured intellectually but Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon are praying they have 20 or 30 million dollars to throw at Reeves and the other money hungry people behind this stupid idea.

It could go either way. I loved the last two movies but both actors are older now. I would hate to see CG.

Bill and Ted -- the anti-Twilight!
Note to writers: PLEASE don't make them vampires in the 3-quel.

it could be very great. It would be awesome to see two duders walking and talking like in the early 90's in 2011-2012. Trying to save the world by making just one song. That could spell disaster or could make for a great comeback. Toss up. Hollywood has ruined good things many times before.

Reeves' career seems to have peaked with The Matrix, and it looks like he wants to do a reboot from the get-go. My recollection is that he didn't want to have anything else to do with the character after the second film. Nonetheless, everytime I see him in anything (he can't act), he's always Ted--Ted as an FBI agent, Ted saving the future, so he might as well go back and play Ted straight up.

@ James Asbury. Sorry but I had to comment on your comment. "The folks who enjoyed the first movie are all grown up but they still haven't matured intellectually..." I hate to tell you but I was 10 when the first movie came out and I can guarantee you I have matured intellectually. I enjoy my movies and being entertained. Just because I would love to see the 3rd movie, doesn't make me immature or stupid! Really, think about things before you just say whatever pops in your head!
