'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2' trailer: Daniel Radcliffe wants you to cry [Poll]

Grab a butterbeer and hang on to your wand. The official "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2" trailer has landed, promising an all-out magical bloodbath for the final installment of the supernatural series.

Franchise star Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the titular "Boy Who Lived," said he was glad fans were crying when they saw the teaser.

"Yes, it's the last one, for God's sake -- if we don't get them now, we won't get another chance!" Radcliffe told MTV News.

"I'm excited to see it," he added. "I think it'll be very good. It just seems like eons ago that I finished it, so it's bizarre."

And why shouldn't he be excited? Radcliffe has reportedly earned more than $90 million to date thanks to the franchise. Come July 15, when the final film is released, he'll be working overtime to break away from that lightning-scarred wizard image so many associate him with.

Drat. Until then, we'll bask in the replayable glory of the video above.

Did you get goose pimples from the trailer? Tell us in comments.

I'm pooped from Potter-ing...like Twilight series..enound already!

Anyone who would cry over this trailer must be either someone who is currently watching it at a funeral or just lost a pet. Trailers often have stuff not even in the movie!

I am so stoked. and I'm not ashamed to say I'm a 26 year old Potter phenatic.

(P.S. Anyone who compares this to Twilight is a moron -- twilight has NOTHING on HP, acting, storyline and graphics wise HP blows Twilight OUT OF THE WATER)

I'm just glad it's finally ending. This series has been dragging for the last couple movies.

I remember reading all the books before any movies were even out... I love Harry Potter and I have been reading them and following for years. I think this is going to be the best of all the movies! I cannot wait to see it in theaters. It is going to be great!

Sure didnt make me cry? But I can`t wait to see it:)

BEST MOVIE EVER!!!! This is the only movie that i cant wait to watch. Since the first book .

That whole "together" *jump off the tower* thing had better be a dream or they MESSED UP BIG.

The books are not the movies. What I love about the books is the depth of story, character details and the powerful use of words creating the scenes and emotions. What I love about the movies is the actors' work, the stirring videography and music. The story line is quite different in any number of places throughout. The Deathly Hallows is probably the closest match with significant differences in how the battle plays out. Though I am delighted to learn that Molly and Neville still have their moments. I have a hunch that the serious movie changes will work out in context of the whole. And I look forward to the epilogue remaining as in the book. Harry Potter is great literature and great cinema. As with Tolkien, generations will continue to be moved by Rowling's saga.

OMG i got goose bumbs a mile high and i began to cry when i saw ron and his brother! :( too bad he had to die.
