Donald Trump says something, and -- ha! Hollywood made you look
As the royal wedding creeps ever closer, threatening us all with the giant fruitcake that ate London, we turn our beady eye closer to home -- to American royalty. Or the closest thing to it. Or, actually, the man who believes himself to be the closest thing to it. We speak, of course, of Donald Trump.
In recent months, Trump has uttered unto us a desire to be president. Sure, he's a birther, but so are plenty of other bat-guano-insane Americans. In fact, one needs to look no further than this week's headlines to realize that the man has everything it takes to snatch up the presidency. (Just bear with us here.)
First, the likelihood of Trump actually occupying the White House: For the record, the man has said he wants to be Realtor in Chief and that, yes, he's serious about it, no matter what his hair might say on the matter. A recent poll suggests that plenty of Americans like the idea, if for no other reason than to hear him say "You're fired" in news conferences. And Trump certainly has the minimal required chops, having appeared on TV and everything.
The rest of Hollywood seems to be taking Trump seriously too. Robert De Niro, Charlie Sheen and Jerry Seinfeld have all taken shots at the Donald in the last few days, calling the real estate blowhard a terrible candidate for the White House, a king of birther bull and a car salesman.
"It's like a big hustle; it's like being a car salesman," De Niro said. "Don't go out there and say things unless you can back them up. How dare you? That's awful to do. To just go out and speak and say these terrible things? Unless you just wanna get over and get the job. It's crazy."
(Bret Michaels and Gary Busey, meanwhile, have come out in favor of turning the White House into a Trump Tower.)
So why does this prove that Trump is man enough to take D.C.?
If you readers really want Trump to go away, let this be the last article we write about him. Otherwise, you just might be seeing the Donald at the Republican National Convention -- capable contender or not.

With all due respect (though I don't know if respect is due here, after millions of Americans have been labeled "bat-guano insane" by the author.) Just to clarify, how does one become "bat-guano insane?" Is this after ingestion?
The whole "birther" issue is not as proposterous and far fetched as some might say. Coming to America as a "legal alien" this hits me quite close to home, as I have a huge interest and passion in political sciences, particularly American politics. One of the first things that struck me when actually reading rules and laws before coming to the States (what a rarity) was that if you were not born here, well, you'll never be the Presdent. Sure you can be a mayor, senator, congressman, but not the President. This to me is a big deal. If their is ever the slightest question to the fact (as their is in this case) that any President was not born on American soil then it should be investigated.
Pertaining to Hollywood. Come on, Charlie Sheen, Bob Deniro? These two individuals outside the silver screen are a joke. Jerry Seinfeld is the only one even worth listening to, and that would only be for his comic genius.
I think most Americans are tired of being bullied by China, whilst constantly apologising to Europe for an alleged lack of class in a grossly jealous global community.
Trump's an American here who oozes patriotism, and if you look around and listen to what most people are saying. It is just this type of person that Americans want at the helm of this downtrodden nation.

It seems the more commedians & media trash are against Trump.
Thank you.
Trump must be good then.
The voters are NOT fools.
Very few people people trust the slanted media anymore including the author here

The big question in the 2012 presidential race is: Would Obama be able to keep a job among the 22000 employees of The Trump Organization? A recent poll showed that 94% thought Donald would fire him,but that is not true. Obama would be a valuable employee heading the community relations department, he would make sure that there was fairness in hiring the physically or mentally challenged and minorities.

Mr. Trump. I think you would make a good person to represent our Country in it's current status we live in, I hope you support the Military more, that is important so we just don't have a flag out on the 4th of July. Also, alot of people are already making Bumper Stickers for your Campaign, which might save you some money. A Presidential Camaign is expensive. I am a Liberatarian, why be a large Part Affiliate. When you look on your local ballots, many of the elected officials are Liberatarian. More Freedom and Less Government.

Let's see....
Trump has been divorced how many times? How often has he claimed bankruptcy?
The birther debate is essentially dead in the water, except for those who choose to keep it alive for their own political gain. Even if Obama ends up being found to be an alien from Mars, the person who will take over is Joe Biden.
Obama was born to an American Mother. What else do you need?

Bret - I am disappointed. You are a loving and open-minded man while Trump changes his opinions to be whatever suits him and currently wants to oppress Americans - he is against abortion, against same-sex marriage, he wants to stop all foreign aid... I am truly disappointed if you think that's something admirable in a president.
(Note in previous musings of running for president, Trump was Pro-Choice, and equality for all.)
Not that he's going to run. This is ... the fourth time he's 'considered' running, I believe. He just likes the publicity that claiming to be 'seriously thinking about running' gives him.

It would be very foolish to elect a celebrity hungry, unexperienced wanna-be politician, twice bankrupted, birther nutzoid millionaire for president. Just look at what Governator Arhhhnauld Schwarzenegger did to Calif. and you should take heed to ever consider electing a actor/celebrity for any public office. Even St. Ronald Reagan's legacy is very spotty and as history shows not something to be really proud of. So if America has any decent common sense at all...I cringe...because of two terms of George W. Bush...what a nightmare that was (and still lingers to the present)...America PLEASE USE SOME COMMON SENSE WHEN VOTING IN 2012 or we'll forever pay dearly with a dimmer future than we have now...Donald Trump is a joke! You'd have to be very celebrity-blinded to even vote for this clown dog-catcher even...I think the world has laughed enough at us for American voters' stupidity...

Donald Trump needs to go somewhere and sit down and shut and keep doing what he's doing. Who wants a President that has jacked up hair and sticks his mouth out like a fish when he talks. He can't even take criticism from people without retaliating some stupid remark back to them. As a President, you are criticized all the time. So I guess Trump will come back with a stupid remark everytime someone criticizes him if he became President. Can you imagine that? And his comment about Obama's legal citizenship has backfired on him because Obama's birth certificate has been publicized that he was born in Hawaii. Any body with any common sense (which apparently Trump doesn't have) should know that Obama's credentails were verified in order to become President, just like any other President's credentials are verified, and maybe Obama's credentials were checked out even more, simply because he is Black. Just because Trump is a self made billionaire, doesn't qualify him to be President of this country.

Trump is not self-made: While not inheriting as much as the Koch Brothers ( who has?), the Donald took over his father's real-estate empire.
That family has gotten so much corporate welfare and special treatment. Trump has gone bankrupt many times and was not foreclosed on by banks because he was considered "too big to fail"-- where have we seen that before?!

Have any of you Trump supporters ever heard this man speak? He's a moron.
If Trump is elected president, I'm moving to Canada.
