Seann William Scott -- 'American Pie's' Stifler -- checks into rehab
Seann William Scott, the actor best known for his role as Stifler in the deliciously raunchy "American Pie" films, has checked into rehab.
"Seann William Scott has voluntarily admitted himself for proactive treatment to address health and personal issues. He appreciates the support of his many fans at this time," his rep said in a statement.
The reasons why the actor entered the facility, as well as the location of the facility, remain unclear.
Scott, 34, most recently appeared alongside Tracy Morgan and Bruce Willis in "Cop Out" last year.
He was also cast with John C. Reilly in "The Promotion" and Paul Rudd in "Role Models" in 2008.
The Ministry wishes him a speedy recovery.

Deliciously raunchy? Were you 12 when you saw this movie? Even on RT the audience rating barely cracks 60%. As someone who loves off-beat and "raunchy" movies, even I can recognize American Pie for being the "safe, middle class" version of "raunchy" - badly eclipsed by other movies released even in its own year. American Pie was an exercise in the power of hype and promotion.
As for Mr. Scott - wildly overrated, too. He's got two moves - the crazy eye look, and the screwed-up-mouth look. Same two moves in every role. He nearly single-handedly ruined Role Models and Dude Where's My Car. He _can_ be fine as a supporting character, but as a primary or lead he's unwatchable. His role in Old School was exactly the type of size he can do well.

Hey Brad, I didn't know you were a movie critic. Maybe you should save your "holier than thou" and "think I'm above everyone else talk" for Rotten Tomatoes. The guy is in rehab, he isn't promoting some God-awful movie. Exercise in the power of hype and promotion? Get a life loser.
