Supporting children’s causes is always in style, especially for fans of designer John Varvatos’ annual Stuart House benefit.

Hosted this year by actor Patrick Dempsey and wife Jillian, the shindig is a huge draw for boldface names and their little ones, like Zoe Saldana with her niece Kayla, Justin Chambers with his brood, LL Cool J, Sam Page, Taylor Armstrong of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ and more.

Shutting down the well-appointed intersection of Melrose and Robertson in West Hollywood, the Varvatos flagship shop expanded over the street to accommodate a live auction and a kids tent with various activities, including a Build-A-Bear station and craft tables for customizing Converse sneakers.

Saldana had big hugs for Chambers and lots of questions for his energetic offspring, while James Van Der Beek and wife Kimberly Brooks circulated near ‘90210’ hunk Trevor Donovan and actress Gina Gershon (who arrived fresh from LAX).

A performance from k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang counted fans David Schwimmer, Brooke Burke, Perry Ferrell and ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ designer Michael Moloney in the audience.

After lang’s set, artist Shepard Fairey played DJ inside the boutique, where proceeds from sales benefited Stuart House, a renowned UCLA project that treats child victims of sexual abuse.
