Actress Maya Rudolph is expecting her third child with partner Paul Thomas Anderson -- and she showed off her baby bump Sunday at a Milk and Bookies event at the Skirball Cultural Center.
We’re not sure which is the bigger news -- the pregnancy, or the fact that the ‘Saturday Night Live’ alum braved serious rain and Westside traffic on the day of the 2011 Los Angeles Marathon to attend the nonprofit’s 2nd Annual Story Time Celebration.
(OK, Sepulveda Boulevard was only closed south of the center, but still, if you’ve ever been stuck in traffic due to marathon-related street closures, you understand the level of commitment. Jack Black, Ashlee Simpson and Jason Biggs also made the scene.)
Rudolph already has two daughters -- Pearl Minnie, 5, and Lucille, 1 -- with writer-director Anderson, Oscar nominated for his work on ‘Boogie Nights,’ ‘Magnolia’ and ‘There Will Be Blood.’ Pearl’s middle name recalls grandma Minnie Riperton, the R&B singer who died of breast cancer at 31, just weeks before daughter Maya’s 7th birthday in 1979.
People reported the pregnancy via sources on Friday; Rudolph’s rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly on Monday.
Rudolph will be seen next in the film ‘Bridesmaids’ with Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Rose Byrne. The comedy is due out this May -- but no word yet on a due date for the mother-of-three-to-be.
