'Jane Eyre' movie premiere: Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender
Co-stars Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender stepped out in New York on Wednesday night to premiere "Jane Eyre," director Cary Fukunaga's remake of the classic tale. The screening was held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel.
Might as well get used to seeing Wasikowska: The Times' Amy Kaufman reports the "Alice in Wonderland" actress' upcoming slate includes "Restless," directed by Gus Van Sant; "The Wettest County in the World" with Shia LaBeouf; "Stoker" with Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman; and "Albert Nobbs," a drama co-written by Glenn Close.
Close made it to the premiere -- as did her "Damages" co-star Rose Byrne -- and chatted up the "Jane Eyre" lead later during the after-party.
Also spotted: Debra Winger and actor-husband Arliss Howard, Zoe Kravitz, and Sebastian Stan of "Gossip Girl." Click the pics for more photos from the premiere.
"Jane Eyre" opens Friday.
