News of Elizabeth Taylor‘s death Wednesday morning had friends and fans busy on Twitter paying respects and sharing fond memories. The Oscar-winning actress, who spent some time on Twitter herself, was a celebrated Hollywood legend and her fellow stars were among the many to pay tribute.

Jane Fonda, Taylor’s costar in the 1976 film ‘Blue Bird,’ wrote, ‘I knew elizabeth Taylor and I can tell you she was kind, brave, generous and loyal. I am sad.’
