Amanda Seyfried and Hailee Steinfeld: Who wore Prada better? [poll]

The shelf life of a dress for a high-profile actress can be quick, unless it's the Ministry-worthy occasion of a fashion repeat -- in which case we all ask, "Who wore it better?" In this case, it's Hailee Steinfeld versus Amanda Seyfried.

When Steinfeld earned her first major fashion moment on the SAG Awards red carpet, the world took note (including major critics like Andre Leon Talley) thanks to her bold and bright Prada number.

Nearly six weeks later, the (almost) exact same dress wound up on "Red Riding Hood" star Amanda Seyfried, and on the April cover of Elle. Our highly scientific analysis shows a different neckline for Hailee, plus a few more stripes of color for the "True Grit" youngster.

It's essentially the same dress, but do tell us, who wore it better?

Never mind that I don't personally like the dress in either incarnation, this is apples and oranges. Miss Steinfeld is 14 years old, was photographed on a red carpet in what is essentially a "candid", and where lighting is the same for everyone and there are no stylists and no photoshopping to make her look "better".

On the other hand, Miss Seyfried's version is a professional cover shot in a studio with controlled lighting, posing and likely retouching, AND she is clearly selling sex.

If both were photographed on a red carpet, as I've seen for most of these "who wore it better" comparisons, you'd have a more fair "contest", although the considerable age difference and certain "details" of each dress might still be a problem.
