Oscars: Wolfgang Puck gives a red carpet food preview
If you believe chef Wolfgang Puck, his Oscar-shaped salmon is to die for -- and we have a hunch he's worth believing. Also back again this year are his tasty little Oscar-shaped chocolates, plated with gold.
There will be 12 chefs on hand, Puck said, just for the purpose of accommodating the special requests of the stars. "If they don't want fish they get steak; if they want vegan they get paella."
And what's the best part of the night for the boss, who again brought his son Byron Puck along to the Oscars as a chef-in-training?
"The most exciting part is when I sit down and open up a magnum of Champagne," Puck said.
This year for the first time, star chef Ludovic Lefebvre -- of L'Orangerie and Bastide fame -- is catering Elton John's party.
