Meet Max Irons: The next Robert Pattinson?
When it comes to finding heartthrobs, Catherine Hardwicke has an impressive track record: first Emile Hirsch in "Lords of Dogtown," then the hiring of Robert Pattinson for a little franchise known as "Twilight."
With her forthcoming "Red Riding Hood," Hardwicke brings Max Irons, another hot unknown who may just catapult into the Hirsch-Pattinson stratosphere.
The 25-year-old son of actors Jeremy Irons and Sinéad Cusack. Max, whose parents thoroughly discouraged him from taking their profession, spilled his essentials recently to Elle.

Clearly, Hardwicke's call was too hard to resist.
"He's 6-foot-3, drop-dead gorgeous, and has this crazy magnetism," Hardwicke says of her star, who will play opposite Amanda Seyfried in the sexier retelling of the classic.
The director also sees some RPattz parallels.
"Like Rob, Max is fearless and physically throws himself into a character," she said.
