Kim Kardashian's naked W photos -- a thin line between love and hate
It seems like Kim Kardashian has a love-hate relationship with her naked body -- she's now backpedaling on her initial reaction to her nude photos in W Magazine.
"This really pisses me off -- this is serious porn!" she had sobbed to sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian on a recent episode of E!'s "Kourtney and Kim Take New York."
The news came when she got an advance copy of her full-frontal on the mag's annual Art issue. She was furious that she was "more naked" in the W photos than she'd been in her Playboy shoot, showing more, well, let's just call it more anatomical detail.
"She promised me I would be covered with artwork on top of me," Kardashian said.
When the show was shot, the 30-year-old reality TV starlet said she would never do a nude shoot again, not even for Vogue. Hear that, Anna Wintour?
But now she's telling Us Magazine that she loves the photos and thinks they're "beautiful."
"W Magazine is iconic so I'm really happy that I did it and that those are the photos."
What a difference a week makes!
"It's just that that's not what I thought they were going to be," she said. "Obviously, I'm comfortable posing nude -- I've done that before, and I did that then for the magazine. But that's probably not the direction I would've wanted to go if I thought that was going to be the case."
"In keeping in line with the theme of W Magazine's November Art Issue, Kim Kardashian's cover was conceived as an artistic collaboration with well-known artist Barbara Kruger, and was a meditation on the influence that reality TV has on contemporary culture," the mag told New York Magazine's the Cut blog.
"The inside portfolio documented the career and power of Kim Kardashian as a work of art, using the language of artists like Jeff Koons and Gilbert & George."
Well, we'd backpedal too, if W swooned over the cultural significance of our naked butt.

Poor, poor Kim. No man with a mother will be marrying her. Every mother will dread her having the grandchildren. She just might have to 'get pregs' to land a man. It will be called a miracle.

Can she just got away....the only talent is acting stupid and yes taking off her clothes which to her is like being a doctor! Some people where just born without common sense! Oh and her mother is a pimp and should be arrested, it is odd how her mother gets her all these gigs that require her to take off her clothes...money means more to this women then her daughters dignity and then you got this age old husband that looks completely stupid!

I wish I had what kim and the sisters have they have money and nice cloths and everything I would do anythg for that life style. The Kardashians are an idle to me and no this is not my real e-mail. People are so dumb I don't know why they say kim is dumb she actually isn't and she is soooo beautiful I would treat her like a queen if I ever meet her. I love her attitude on the show. I'm no prude, but there was a day, not too long ago, when someone like this would be shunned and not even acknowledged. The poor, vulgar, uneducated sloth has to strip for her fame...and what's amazing is that she's proud of herself...as is her mother (another shrill, ill-bred low-brow ...what a world we have created.
