Martin-luther-king-jr

As the United States honors the birthday of slain civil-rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., it's no surprise that some celebrities (and normal folk as well) have taken to Twitter to pass along his message either verbatim or by showing what the day means to them.

Here's a look at what some of them had to say Monday:

Sean Combs asked you a question, Ministry readers. Don't leave him hanging; share your dreams in our comments section.

I DREAM that my children will never have to hear about a "mass shooting" on television ever in their lifetime. I HAVE THAT DREAM. That no other parent should lose a child due to a splattered shooting of innocent victims. I BELIEVE IN THAT DREAM. That we can step out into public spaces and meet our Politicians and Preachers and Neighbors without FEAR and without the shots of hatred. I BELIEVE IN THAT DREAM. And that it won't take us another twenty-five years to get there! I HAVE A DREAM!!

Happy birthday!!!!!! Dr.king .may you rest in peac..earthly lost..but heaven gain..dr.king..quote..we must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools..well said dr.king...

I dream that someday people with chronic illnesses like myself have access to a full spectrum of medical and holistic care. Not only does should each person have the ability to access affordable care but they should have the freedom to choose the kind of care that best addresses their needs and best fits their belief system. Western medicine has accomplished EXTRAORDINARY things..but it simply is lacking when it comes to really doing anything proactive when it comes to illnesses such as Lyme's Disease, ALS, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, etc. These are real illnesses with real sufferers who also deserve the ability to "pursue happiness."
