Michael Douglas says he’s quitting tobacco and most alcohol, but give up flirting with Matt Damon? That’s one new habit he’s not quitting any time soon.

‘I’m back,’ said Douglas, who recently finished treatment for stage-four throat cancer that was possibly ‘motivated’ by the first two of those vices. ‘I’m sure I’m still going to have a glass of wine or two.’

And though the tumor is gone, and the Golden Globe-nominated actor plans to go to those awards with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, ‘I probably won’t be clicking my heels for another two or three months,’ he told Access Hollywood.

He had informed doctors last January that something was wrong, but the growth under his tongue wasn’t found until August. ‘I understand … it’s a very difficult cancer tumor to find,’ he told host Billy Bush on Sunday in New York. However, a diagnosis at stage two ‘would have been nicer than stage four.’

So, wait, back to that flirting? Douglas is already prepping for his next role, playing Liberace, in part by exchanging sexy text messages with costar Damon. But it’s not exactly rough stuff -- more along the lines of, ‘What kind of Chapstick are you using this week, sweetie?’

‘It goes with the territory,’ Douglas joked.
