Lindsay Lohan can legally leave rehab as of Monday, but it looks as if she’s putting off the transition for at least a few days.

‘It’s going to be soon. I’m not going to say it’s today, but it’s a very controlled move,’ dad Michael Lohan said Monday on CBS’ ‘The Early Show.’

‘She needs all the right elements in place when she gets out and waiting for that to happen, and she’s being very patient about it. I’m so proud of where she is now, and I don’t want that to falter. She’s really come full turn.’

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress has been at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage since shortly after failing a couple of court-ordered drug tests in September. Though she entered voluntarily, in October the judge in the case ordered her to stay through Jan. 3.

She may stay there through Saturday, reported TMZ, which also also had a picture of a truck allegedly moving things from LiLo’s West Hollywood condo to a temporary home in Venice Beach.

Lohan, meanwhile, tweeted in the new year Saturday with one of only two non-commercial messages since entering Betty Ford. ‘Today is the first day of the rest of my life ‘The future depends on what we do in the present.’ -Mahatma Gandhi... One step at a time....’

The other, sent the day after Thanksgiving, was a retweet of a quote from the movie ‘Vanilla Sky’: ‘Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.’
