Kristen Stewart: 'Snow White' with Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron?
Kristen Stewart could be biting the apple with Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron in "Snow White and the Huntsman."
The "Twilight" star is reportedly on a short list of hot young actresses being considered for the darker adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale.
"Persistent" rumors say Stewart could take the lead, Deadline Hollywood reports, in the classic story of a young princess targeted by an evil queen.
Mortensen's part isn't specified, but could presumably be the burly huntsman the title suggests, while Theron will take the post of evil queen -- the mirror-consulting villain obsessed with being fairest of them all. A leaked copy of the script confirms that all of the original characters are in play, even the dwarfs (one's name is Gus!).
The casting would carry Stewart out of her vampire franchise, but fear not -- the "Snow White" script sees men turning into wolves. Familiar territory for the actress, no?

Casting Kristen Stewart in any movie is an insult to many talented young girls. Reason she is here is only because of her parents influence.
There are many people who are really talented and cannot make it because they do not have the contacts.
Reason I am writing this is because I finally read the twilight saga books, which was with me for the past 2 years. I sort of liked it even though the books have some flaws. Then i decided to see the movies on DVD's. The first one is just OK though the director could have made it better by adding few more scenes. Kristen’s acting looked dull but people didn't notice it because of Rob. Focus naturally went from Kristen to Rob and she was just in the background. But the director somehow managed to retain the chemistry between the two.
Yesterday saw New Moon. I cant say how disappointed I am. What should I say? Bad direction and bad screenplay adding unnecessary scenes in Voltura, which portrays Rob as a weakling. What about Kristen? Is she an actress or what? She just stood there as if she was reading the script. No emotions what so ever. The part where Rob is leaving her it seemed to me that she was bored and was waiting for him to go. Rob still had some emotions on his face. Kristen should have acted hysterical or in shock. Months that passed were shown her sitting on a chair without shedding a tear. When she meets Jacob she is very active. She didn't come across as somebody who is grieving. Between rob and Kristen was there any chemistry? I think the director didn't even read the book. He was just there relying on the horrible script and horrible actress to do the job. It is inexcusable of Kristen to give such a poor performance as she is in this field for the past 8 years. Rob and Taylor have improved drastically although they are not born actors like Leonardo Di Caprio. I am sure with time they will also be good. I was wondering is there any way this movie could be remade with a different Bella or are we stuck with this emotionless statue forever. Her poor acting is in fact detrimental for her fellow actors. Just because the rumor that Pattinson is dating her is circulating she has some supporters. People want to see them together. Once when twilight saga is finished she will be finished.
Saw Eclipse. Had to switch off because Kristen’s acting was horrible as ever. Rob was horrible too. Maybe he does not get the right motivation to act when a wooden statue is in front of him.
She lacks depth in her acting. Welcome to the Riley’s is the best she can do. That is a straightforward role with wooden miserable expressions. To act well the actor should know the character they play well. Unfortunately she doesn't know her characters well. That’s why for every role there is stuttering, lip biting, inhaling exhaling loudly and blinking. That's her trademark acting. No other emotion is possible. Can she shed few tears at the appropriate time? Never. When people say that is her twihard fans that she is worthy of Oscars I feel like puking. What an insult to Alpacino, Robert De Niro and Marlon Brando. They should watch the speech of Alpacino in the Scent of a Woman. If she can produce even a micro ounce of that acting she can go a long way.

She is an understated natural actress and accomplishes much with subtle expressions. Jennifer Lawrence is similar. I don't think her performance in Welcome to the Rileys was her best, The Cake Eaters, The Runaways and (even though a small role) Into the Wild showcase her talent. For me, she makes the Twilight movies watchable. As for her parents, her father is backstage crew (works for George Lopez) and her mother is a script supervisor, not powerbrokers. She was approached by an agent after a grade school play, that's how she got her start.

She is refreshing. In a world of actresses who submit to hysteria and overdrama to get their point across, Kristen acts like a real human being. People whose hearts are breaking, who are conflicted, who are emotionally exhausted, etc, do not usually go screaming and flying off the handle. I'm not a Twihard, but I respect Kristen's work and I think that a lot of the "poor" quality of the movies comes from the directors' lack of understanding the characters. It is also very difficult to translate that kind of emotion to the screen without it coming off looking cheesy. The books are very centered around one character's inner turmoil. INNER being the key word. That translates well in written word - not so much in spoken.

Kristen's a very good actress in my opinion. I'd love to see her play snow white. Although I'm not to sure how the poofy blue/yellow dress is gonna work on Kris lol. But she's beautiful no matter what :)

How is Charlize Theron suppose to envious of her beauty? How about Kristan's co-star, Ashley Greene? Now there is someone you can believe is the "fairest one of all".
Linsdey, dead face is not the same as understated and subtle. Her line readings are like a grade school Christmas pagent. The only reason she is successful is she is in an extremely popular movie series. Most Twi-hards will say they don't like Kristan as Bella but look past it because everyone else is good and they like the story.
She is like a rookie athlete you invested a lot of time and money into. You want them to be good, so you keep sarting them. But no matter what you do, they just will never make in the big time (Angels fans know exatly who I'm comparing her to).

Ashley Green is more beautiful, certainly - but I'm not sure she's the better actress. If this is a dark version of the story, acting is tantamount - its not just about who looks the most like the original 1930's cartoon...!

You know what I Really dont understand? Why is Kristen seen as a/the HORRIBLE/WORST actress but her co-workers call her brilliant and excellent. Not to mention the girl recieves fantastic views from critics...why is that? I am really curious.. normal or regular people say she is a bad actress but her CO-WORKERS and CRITICS and the ppl that matter have nothing but good things to say about her work. Bella is a normal average maybe quite boring teenage girl...I love Bella but she is just your average teenager...how else did you expect Kristen to play the character? yes, its true she is not bubbly but still....Catherine Hardwicke went our of her way to cast her as Bella I wonder why. Whatever she chooses to do I support her because she chooses her roles very wisely.

Tammy u have so many problems. i mean the hell its wrong with you. i have to ask have YOU read the books? did you understand them? were laughing at you right now and i beet other ppl are too. i think rob and Kristen play there roles perfectly. i know there are other ppl who could have been Bella but there is a reason why they didn't get the role. she is not dull. what do you mean the books have flaws? in new moon of course she didn't react a lot. Bella is suppose to be numb, you know no emotion, that's why she just stood there. by the way when the series are over she will still be acting.

I lost interest when they mentioned Kristen Stewart as the leading role. They won me over again with Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron, so I have a more hope in the film.
Kristen as Snow White just doesn't seem like the best fitting choice, but alas, that's merely my opinion. However, I remember a few of her previous movie roles (excluding Twilight, of course), she's not typically a horrid actress. It might work.

Well said Robynn! people in the business, who actually know what they are talking about, are constantly giving Kristen praise for her performances. She is an amazing actress, by far the best of our generation! and definitely the best actor of the whole twilight cast.

Honestly, the reason why you are allowed to comment on these articles is to speak your opinion. People are not going to comment on them only if they like Kristen Stewart otherwise there would be a million comments of people saying how much they love her in their own way. This isn't her fan page. To say "don't say nothing at all if it's not nice" is like being in elementary school. I personally think that she's a terrible actress who lacks any emotion and not only in the twilight saga. Her acting is basically the same in every movie and she does that twitchy nonsense when she acts that makes me want to turn off whatever she's in, but I wont because she's not the main attraction in every movie. She would be in snow white if casted and I believe that will just be a waste of time and production money. And i'm sorry, but to say that she's the best actress of our generation is a joke. What she should do when she's done ruining movies is call up her agent and see if there are any openings for soap operas because then maybe she won't taint everyone elses acting... and btw, half of the acting in the twilight saga from half the people involved is garbage. Especially the main characters and that sucks if supporting actors are better than the leading.

Personally I would rather see her stay away from the major studio productions and continue to do small independent films like "Adventureland", "The Yellow Handkerchief", "Welcome to the Rileys", among others (like "The Cake Eaters" from a few years ago and the upcoming "On the Road" which I look forward to viewing).
Her performances are subtle, which gives mass audiences heartburn in this current age of histrionics in film and music. She is in the position to bank her substantial earnings from the Twilight series and continue to do small films with quality scripts. If she passes on or is passed over for "Snow White" and/or drops off the mainstream radar, I'll still be watching.

Wow! lots of haters hir! just wondering are these people hates Kristen Stewart because of envy or because she's with Robert Pattinson? Based on the news/ articles/ interviews I've watched about her, Most of her co-workers and Directors said Kristen is a amazing Actress well, if she's a bad artist she wouldn't get those movie offers or not even considering her as SNOW White. I think these people is beating kristen personally.
In my opinion, Kristen stewart is the next Angelina Jolie. She knows what she want, Very Genuine person. Just take it to the people she used to work before, they have the rights to judge Kristen because they were able to work with her.
I admire her because she's brave enough to Stands for her Rights for Her Privacy and for her talent.

I don't know what they are thinking, wanting Kristen Stewart for this part. She really isn't the Snow White type and definitely doesn't have the acting range to do it justice. If she gets this part I won't even bother seeing the movie.
