Katie Holmes takes on Ann Taylor -- what would Jackie O think?

Katie Holmes might not be showing up in Jackie O's clothes any time soon, but Ann Taylor's? That's another story.

Holmes -- whose miniseries "The Kennedys," costarring Greg Kinnear as JFK, found itself adrift in broadcast limbo last week -- is the new face of the Ann Taylor clothing brand for its spring season, featured in magazine ads that will run beginning in March, the company announced Tuesday.

"I've been a fan of Ann Taylor since I was a young girl," the actress said on the AT website. "I grew up loving the clothes ... and am really excited to be the face of Ann Taylor for the Spring season."

Alas, Katie, you just reminded the Ministry of when it was growing up, fitting perfectly into that Ann Taylor size 6. Pardon us now while we find a cliff ...

Ann Taylor's "face" keeps changing with the wind. Haven't they had two or three models already? Wasn't Naomi Watts doing the campaigns? Or was it Linda Evangelista?

Maybe I'm confusing Ann Taylor with Talbots . . . somebody straighten me out!
