David Arquette

already has public support from his wife, Courteney Cox -- and now an insider tells the Ministry that his employer, Beecher’s Mad House, has his back as well.

A source close to longtime Arquette pal Jeff Beecher said the actor ‘planned to check into rehab after the new year and did not drink on New Year’s Eve.’

Arquette, who entered rehab Sunday, has openly discussed his tough time since splitting with Cox in October, as well as the erratic behavior that followed -- mostly while working as emcee for the upcoming Los Angeles opening of the variety show.

The pal said the creator of the show is ‘not worrying about David’s participation in the theater, he’s just concerned about him getting healthy.”

No word on when Arquette will return to the production, which is slated for a Feb. 14 public opening, or when he’ll be released from rehab.

The actor spent Friday hosting one of several private previews of the Mad House -- and the photo above seems to indicate he was in pretty good spirits.
