Charlie Sheen checked into rehab on Friday, with ‘Two and a Half Men’ going on production hiatus while he’s there, Show Tracker reports.

Sheen was rushed to the hospital Thursday morning with severe abdominal pains, amid rumors of 36 hours of hard-core partying in the familiar company of porn actresses. The culprit was said to be an irritated hiatal hernia.

‘He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern,” publicist Stan Rosenfield said Friday, adding that no other information -- including the location of the rehab facility -- would be given at this time.

CBS, which has been edgy about its $2-million-per-episode star, said it supports Sheen’s rehab decision. ‘We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being,’ the network and exec producer Chuck Lorre said in a statement.

This certainly isn’t the first time Sheen has been in rehab, including a voluntary stay last February ‘as a preventative measure.’ At the time, the stint appeared to be part of a strategy to prevent the actor from having to go to jail after a Christmas Day 2009 domestic violence incident with Brooke Mueller, the mother of his twin boys.

Sheen filed for divorce from Mueller in November, shortly after having what he characterized as ‘one bad night’ night in New York, after which he wound up in the hospital.

Capri Anderson, the porn actress present when Sheen allegedly trashed his Plaza Hotel room in October, told TMZ on Friday that the new porn ladies partying at Charlie’s place this week were ‘idiots’ for hanging out with ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.’

Anderson also said she feels sorry for his kids.
