Wait, wasn't Jon Cryer *joking* about Charlie Sheen on Conan?

Jon Cryer stopped by Conan O’Brien’s show Wednesday night to chat about his "Two and a Half Men" costar Charlie Sheen. And given Thursday's news about Sheen being taken to the hospital in the early hours, we wonder what he might have known that he wasn't spilling. 

"I'm checking TMZ, as I do every day, to check if I have to go to work at all," Cryer quipped.

O'Brien, whose talk show shares the Warner Bros. lot with Cryer's CBS comedy, cut to the chase to ask about the pesky cameras he sees stalking Sheen whenever the bad boy goes on a bender. And Cryer, the typically mum Emmy winner, took the opportunity to poke fun at his costar's recent run of car troubles.

"I said, 'How ya doing, man?' and he said, 'I'm doing OK, except that somebody stole my car and ran it off a cliff last night,'" Cryer said, regarding their morning-after chat.

"And normally you would not believe that from somebody. But from Charlie Sheen: You believe that because that happened to him. Twice!"

Jon Cryer is funny enough, his character anyway... but it is Charlie Sheen that makes that show over the top popular. Charlie, you are amazing! Get well soon!

Jon Cryer has honest affection and concern for Charlie Sheen..but you can also tell he is irritated by Charlie actions.I have been a long time fan of Sheen and I hope if not for his own sake then at least his family's he can pull himself together. This is crap is way beyond old, and if Robert Downey can do it so can Charlie.

Jon Cryer is a great actor and very funny! The entire cast is! That said, please Charlie, get it together! So many of your fans are praying for you. Sooo glad daddy Sheen is intervening! I am a big fan of the show! Praying for you Charlie and hoping that all will be well again one day.

The real bottom line is that Sheen wouldn't be where he is today without his father. Sheen is a train wrek in slow-motion and if it wasn't for the overwhelming support of his father, Charlie would be dead by now.

Cryer has had his up's and down's and so has Charlie, the difference is that Cryer's problems don't involve kicking the crap out of women and ending up in rehab.

Charlie Sheen is tempting fate too many times. Its tragic that a successful
and talented actor like him, can decend into the hell of durg addiction.
His show is a great hit and our newphew in England looks forward to it
and finds it wonderful. I fear for this welfare of this talent and that we will
see in the news that Charlie was found dead due to a drug overdose.
It has happened to many others.......Good luck Charlie and walk away
from this destructive lifestyle.

All i can say is, I really really like the show, the cast is great...real fun !!!....watched it a hundred times...I just really hope it would not be the end of it....
