Andrew Garfield has been keeping up that ‘Spider-Man’ training he spoke about in December and dishing about his major popularity spike since doing ‘The Social Network’ and stepping into Tobey Maguire‘s shoes.

‘I want to feel more flexible than I’ve ever felt. I want to feel powerful. You don’t want to just be a pack of meat,’ Garfield tells Details, for which he serves as cover boy.

‘It has to be an open body. It does something to your psyche, and it does something to the way you move.’

From the looks of it, the newly christened hero is on track. We’ll be seeing plenty of Garfield through award season, as he’s been highly praised for his ‘Social Network’ turn as Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin.

Regarding his most explosive scene, wherein he loses it on Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Timberlake, Garfield says ‘that day and night of shooting was one of my favorite experiences ... I was literally not judging myself. And it was so [dang] beautiful for a second.... I felt more like a man than I’ve ever felt.’
