Will you brighten Wesley Snipes' prison Christmas? [poll]
Who wasn't touched by father-of-four Wesley Snipes' request to stay out of prison until January, because he's a father of four and the whole behind-bars thing would really mess up the holidays?
(OK, don't answer that. Not right now, at least. We haven't gotten to the poll yet.)
Because Snipes is apparently a man who values holiday cheer, the Ministry would like to provide contact information for anyone wishing to send him a Christmas card in federal prison.

I am not writing this because I really want to comment on Mr. Snipes' personal business. I know bla bla what he did makes it public but I believe in etc... ect... being enough when it comes to detials I don't really care so bla bla I probably won't even read back here to see what anyone posts up after me. I am writing this because I followed a link that said "do you want to send Wesley Snipes a Christmas Card." SO Merry Christmas Mr. Snipes and I hope you have the best possible day and I hope your paroll comes much sooner than your sentence... Merry Christmas and I am sorry for your most unfortunate situation.

FIRST OF ALL I DONT LIKE HOW THEY TREAT MY BROTHER . I don't think he shoule have served any prisono time for this. I have many times not filed my taxes for 3 years and then when government starts threatening then I finally get the paperwork done. And I love it too, cuz they always owe me back mega amounts of money. But a man who rapes a 7 year old girl get only 2 years in prison. Or a man who beats his 6 year old adopted daughter to death gets 6 years. I think our justice system has lost all sense of reality and it has turned into simply a power play game. This is an injustice done to hime purely because of who he is.

Wesley Snipes was used as an 'example' for a menial accusation. It was already proven that he was not convicted of actual tax evasion yet 'the book' was thrown at him and the judge refused to take into consideration the facts (i.e. he paid all back taxes owed and then some). No he is not completely innocent however the punishment does not fit the 'crime'. Please be sure to mention in your articles that Wesley requested a new jury because all jurors admitted they believed him to be guilty before they even heard the facts. With so many 'real' issues in the world today (i.e. Republicans in the house, mortgage debacle, lack of health care, unemployment) does this issue really take priority? Shame!

seriously, snipes gets 3 years for taxes, and that johannes mehserle, who shot and killed a guy, gets 2? racism doesn't exist anymore. yeah. right.
