Eva Amurri, the actress daughter of Susan Sarandon, is engaged to Kyle Martino, a former pro soccer player who spent two years with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

‘The most wonderful man on this planet is now my FIANCEE!!!!!! #Engaged!,’ Amurri said Saturday on Twitter.

Martino chimed in Sunday: ‘Thanks to all my Tweeps for the comments and best wishes for Eva and I. We are so happy and can’t wait to set the date. #virtualfamily.’

Amurri, Sarandon’s 25-year-old daughter with French director Franco Amurri, has been seen in episodes of ‘Californication,’ ‘Mercy’ and ‘House, M.D.’ Her first film credit was in Tim Robbins’ ‘Bob Roberts,’ and she played the 9-year-old version of her mom’s character in ‘Dead Man Walking,’ for which Sarandon won a best actress Oscar.

Sarandon and Robbins split in 2009 after 23 years together; they had never married.

Martino, 29, does color commentary for ESPN and other networks. The 2002 Major League Soccer rookie of the year‘s pro career ended in 2008.

‘Having to stop playing because of an injury and being young in this industry, I’m commenting on players that I played with and against,’ Martino told the Shin Guardian blog earlier this year, in an interview non-soccer fans will find notable because of the cute pic of the groom-to-be. ‘I’ll be doing that for the next 10 years.’

The Ministry, by the way, loves the idea of an engagement with more than one hashtag.
