Nate Berkus hospitalized for appendicitis; show tapings postponed
Paging Dr. Oz -- one of Oprah's anointed ones has taken ill. Lifestyle whiz Nate Berkus was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday with a case of appendicitis.
"He was on the 'Today' show this morning, and he wasn't feeling well," a rep for "The Nate Berkus Show" told People. "He powered through and then went straight to the hospital after that and they learned he had appendicitis."
Berkus' handlers were aware of the illness, but the designer insisted on making his appearance. "I don't think people realized how ill he was," his rep said.
Physicians anticipate a quick recovery after Berkus, 39, undergoes an appendectomy. His afternoon design show has postponed two tapings, but he's expected back at work next week.
Leave your well-wishes for Nate in the comments section below.

Dear Nat, So sorry to hear of you suffering and that it was appendicitis. I went through this when I was 17 yrs. old.. No fun! I wish you good health.
I really enjoy your show. I cried right along with you the other day with Dolly. That was a lovely show. I like all your shows. You have fabulous ideas and insight. My mom has always been one whom loves garage sales, estate sales, and etc.. She is the Orginal bargain hunter!!! She is 86 and still loves her $ales.. If you are ever in Buffalo NY, you should stop in for a hours of stories for each piece she has purchased... Really too numerous to mention... She has some amazing pieces...
Just want to tell you Your show is inspirational and I love sharing what you have to say with my family and friends. I tell them to tune in to your program.. You truly do love what you do,which make it nice to see how genuine you really are. You have a wonderful gift to share.
I will keep you in my prayer pocket...Remember * NO Lifting for quite a while your you could end up with adhesions... BE CAREFUL!
May God Bless you and heal you, Janet Buchholz
