'Dexter' stars Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter file for divorce
On-screen siblings and real-life husband and wife Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are calling it quits.
"Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have filed for divorce," reps for both stars told EW.com.
The actors, who met on the Showtime set, have been married for two years. As a couple, they weathered Hall's cancer diagnosis and treatment.
At the end of November, Carpenter spoke with the Los Angeles Times about her and Hall's odd navigation of their brother-sister relationship on screen, despite being lovers in real life.
"We were just friends, and it was very easy to be friends," she said. "We were both surprised when this other thing happened. We did a lot of talking about it -- can we kiss, what will that mean, will we damage the credibility of our characters? We were very practical. But in the end, the heart wanted what the heart wanted."

I can't believe it! I was shocked to see this headline, as Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter seemed so good together, especially after going through his illness together. I'm so sorry to hear this, I really thought they'd make it as a married couple. Oh well, now he's single and available for me!! lol.

We'll find out if there is any bad blood between the two actors on the next season of Dexter. If Deb is killed off next season (hopefully), we will know why.

They are SO believable as bro and sis on this simply amazing, amazing show that I could never connect them as married to each other. But it's too bad nonetheless. We're big fans of both of them.

This guy has a history of cheating and apparently can't be without a woman. He's constantly rebounding. None of his relationships will work out unless he deals with his problems. There is something off about him. That's why his character is so successful - he seem emotionally detached. Same thing when he was on six feet under. He's not acting. She's better off without him.

They always seemed weird to me. And if him and Julia Stiles get together I give up on all hope for humanity.
Girls horrendous. I mean, you all thought Carpenter was weird looking....but Stiles is downright hurtin'.
