Bristol Palin buys a 5-bedroom house in Arizona
Bristol Palin has danced into the ranks of homeownership, buying a five-bedroom, 3,900-square-foot house in Maricopa, Ariz., south of Phoenix, for $172,000.
The house, built and sold in 2006 for almost $330,000, went into foreclosure in January, the Arizona Republic reports. Palin, 20, bought it this month from intermediary owners who'd picked up the property as an investment for a little over $137,000.
Bristol finished third on the most recent cycle of "Dancing With the Stars" behind winner Jennifer Grey and runner-up Kyle Massey. A beginning dancer, she was buoyed for weeks by fan support, inspiring many people to finally learn how the voting on that show works.
She has an Arizona connection through her mom, Sarah Palin, who was selected by Arizona Sen. John McCain as his running mate in the 2008 presidential campaign. It's not clear whether the home will be her full-time residence, or just a place that's warmer than Alaska.
In one "DWTS" segment, she told partner Mark Ballas during a visit to Alaska that she preferred her home state to Los Angeles.

Good for her. She'll like the 110 degree summers probably better than the sub-zero temps of Alaska. Why does she need so many extra bedrooms??

@ Otis Campbell - Large family visits during the cold dark winters would be my guess.
If you got the $$$, now is the time to buy up some of these under priced homes. JIMHO

You go girl! Don't listen to fat chicks like Cleo, in their forties still living with their parents .

Good for Bristol. She is growing up, unlike one so-called woman named Cleo. Or are you a woman? Why does someone have to be famous or be a celebrity to post or talk about the good they have done. You, Cleo, need to get an attitude adjustment!

Bristol Palin needs the extra bedroom in order to accommodate her aolder son, Trig. Remember, no one saw a pregnant Sarah Palin until month eight, not even her staff. She had no baby showers, no OB-GYN, no hospita stay, no missed periods. However, Bristol was "home-schooled" during this time. The real scandal is about to hit.

Really, who cares if Bristol purchases a house? Has anyone given consideration that she may be making a BOLD statement of autonomy?
She may very well be trying to get out from under the excessively controlling thumbs of her mother.

How appropriate moving to a bigoted, ultra-conservative,brown-people haters AZ...Home of hypocritical, hateful Repugs...Great place for Mama Grizzly to shoot snakes...

Do I hear some jealousy here?
What has Bristol Palin done to you that you hate her so much? What has her mom, Sara Palin personally done to you to cause you to hate her?
Trig is Sara Palin's son. Women in their mid years sometime have "downs" children. And yes Sara Palin was expecting Trig. Bristol was expecting at the end of Sara's pregnancy.. So it is physically impossible for Trig to belong to Bristol.. Do some research!

Great...she'll probably be running for office here in 2 years, just like Dan Quayle's son did. And AZ residents will be stupid enough to elect her!

Welcome to AZ. Bristol. Throw these negative comments in the trash, they don't know how very stupid it makes them look. We love AZ., hope you will too.
