Bret Michaels, the heavy metal rocker turned reality TV star, is engaged to longtime girlfriend Kristi Gibson after proposing to her on his show ‘Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.’
In the episode, which aired Monday, 47-year-old Michaels got down on one knee and proposed to Gibson, 39, adding, ‘Please say yes, or the rejection will kill me right now.’
‘The Apprentice’ winner, who’s had a terrible year health-wise, will undergo surgery in January to repair a hole in his heart. The hole, there since birth, was discovered as he recovered from a massive brain hemorrhage on April 23, 10 days after an emergency appendectomy.
‘Love and marriage are the ultimate, but I still get a little sweaty about the marriage thing,’ Michaels told People before the show aired.
One problem is solved: ‘I can’t believe that after 16 years, I’m still calling Bret my boyfriend,’ Gibson said previously on the show. So, problem solved?
They have two kids together: Raine, 10, and Jorja, 5.
