Amber Portwood’s ‘Teen Mom’ boyfriend wants no-contact order lifted?

Amber Portwood, a star of the ‘Teen Mom’ reality show, is out on bail after being charged with felony domestic battery of her boyfriend, Gary Shirley — and Shirley may actually want to get back in touch with his baby’s mama.
Shirley contacted law enforcement officials Wednesday morning, TMZ reports, expressing interest in lifting the no-contact order that’s in force against Portwood. Police began investigating their allegedly abusive relationship after footage of her slapping, kicking and choking him aired on MTV in September.
Portwood was arrested Monday and held for 24 hours before being charged with three felonies, one of them for child neglect, and a misdemeanor. A not guilty plea was entered on her behalf, and she was released Tuesday. Her lawyer says she’s expected to be reunited with daughter Leah and is ‘on good terms’ with her ex-fiance.
Video posted by TMZ on Wednesday shows Shirley apologizing and telling Portwood he loves her and they’re going to be married, even as she berates him over the cellphone.
‘I can’t help myself. I have to get help,’ Portwood said in an interview with Shirley at her side — see it below — after the Sept. 28 episode. ‘I never notice how bad I am until I see it, and I feel so terrible. And it’s like, did I really do that?’
‘It’s hard for me to watch [what happened], seeing how bad it actually does hurt her,’ Shirley said after the episode aired. Dozens of people reportedly called Indiana’s child abuse hotline after the episode aired on MTV. ‘Teen Mom’ outtakes show daughter Leah, who was 1 at the time, present during the alleged violence, a police report said. Moments caught on the show could be ‘conclusive evidence’ against Portwood, a CBS News legal analyst said Wednesday.
Said Portman, post-show: ‘I care about him so much, and nobody could tell. ... I don’t treat him like the way I feel.’
‘That’d be nice,’ Shirley mumbled, ‘ ‘cause nobody treats me like they feel.’
Oops?
‘Please don’t be rude, please,’ said Portwood, shooting him a withering gaze. ‘This is why I’m not vulnerable ... he just says the No. 1 thing that probably I don’t want to hear.’
Mmmm-kay.
‘I have a lot of problems ... plus I don’t care about myself,’ she said, ‘so whatever happens, happens. ... I hate it.’
