Actress Rachel Weisz and her partner of nine years, director Darren Aronofsky, split months ago, their reps have confirmed with several media outlets.

The couple, who got engaged in 2005 but never married, have a son, Henry, who was born in 2006. Weisz won a supporting actress Oscar that same year for the 2005 film ‘The Constant Gardener.’ (Hmm, here we thought best actress winners had the relationship curse, while top supporting actresses just watched their careers tank -- or not?)

Weisz said on ‘The View’ in January that maybe it was time to go from engaged to married. ‘Just recently I suddenly felt like I really would like to,’ she said.

Now, the recently engaged Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo did split for a bit last year after Minnillo made noises like she wanted to get married. Will it turn around similarly for Aronofsky and Weisz -- or will she just move into a new ‘Dream House’ with rumored beau (and costar) Daniel Craig?

At any rate, Aronofsky and Weisz reportedly are pursuing joint custody of their son and remain friends.
