Oprah's favorite things include iPad, 2012 Volkswagen Beetle

As Oprah Winfrey brings her A-game on the final season of her daily talk show, she made her annual "Favorite Things" episode — in two parts — something unforgettable for her lucky audience members.

The episode, in which Oprah gifts her guests goodies including cookbooks, designer bags and even exotic vacations, always elicits blood-curdling screams of joy and intense facial expressions — for good reason. This year's bounty included iPads for the lucky recipients.

Winfrey went so far as to crown the Apple device as her "ultimate" favorite thing and unveiled the tablet dramatically by lowering it from the ceiling, flanked in angel wings.

Speaking of mobility, audience members each received a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, sparkly Ugg boots, an herb saver, custom Le Creuset cookware and music by Josh Groban.

I watched your show today and it was invigorating and awesome. I would truly love to have you share some of your favorite things with my sister, Nancy Lopez. She is in remisssion from breast cancer and we just received from the doctor that she will need some of her right colon removed and a hysterectomy. She has been through so much with cancer I would love for her to receive some of your favorite things. She is truly my inspiration, my little sister, and deserves so much more. Please let me know f there is anyway possible she could reserve your gifts. She was diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome and has the gene the contiously travels and multiplies. She is only 45 and she deserves the finer things of life and to be a life to be continued. Please grant this wish for my sister for the holidays.

This was such an awesome show! I only wish I was there. I have truly enjoyed everything shown throughout the years and will miss this show dearly. However, there is a second phase in all of our lives and there is hope that God will lead us there. Today was a great day watching everyone get lots of presents! I watched it three times and called my best friend to watch it too!

I can really relate as my car is 15 years old now! LOL (It still runs!) I could see that some of the people in the audience were just really overwhelmed and grateful!

Folks, stop saying thank god for Oprah. She doesn't give anything to her audience. It's blatant advertising and promotion. It doesn't come out of her pocket. It's an hour-long commercial to push products. Companies know that giving freebies to the audience is the best advertising they can get, because of all the gullible people who think Oprah is the end-all be-all. Have you ever really watched/listened to her? She's not as bright as you think. She barely listens to guests. She's always waiting to say something or interrupt. She could've done so much real good with her money and power...

Dear Oprah,
I used to watch your show all the time but then I started working during the day shift and was not able to tape it or anything. You have aleways impressed me because although you have accomplished so much you still seem to be a humble person who relates to people on their own level. I don't think I have ever seen you make someone feel like they were less of a person when speaking to them. Well, except those that you interviewed while they were in jail for hideous crimes, but you only said what we all wanted to hear said. (Thank you for that)
I actually never tried to be on your show for the big give ways just because I thought it would be impossible. I loved watching those peoples faces though, they were always so thrilled. I can't imagine just sitting in the audience and having those gifts given to me no strings attached. I feel like I am not very emotional but it would bring me to tears watching your audience so I think maybe I would be in awe if I actually was one of them. Well,I don't really know what your religious views are but have always felt that you knew God just because of the compassion you show others. Day time will definitely be missing a great thing now that you are going off air. I wish you all the best. By the way your weight loss fight has always inspired me to just keep trying knowing that it is possible andit has nothing to do with money it is just plain hard work, no excuses. I have been watching Oprah since I was 19 years-old. Oprah has helped me in some milestones in my life throughout the years with her shows.

Oprah's giving from her first enacted show, up until now as they become more elaborate, I had never seen anything like it and I was blown away by her. Oprah is a pure spirit which transcends to so many through television.

We truly believe that Oprah is God's Angel on earth.

My 10 year-old daughter absolutely loves her and aspires to be like her. My daughter gives her clothing to girls whom lost theirs by fire. She plans to start her own business of giving. She feels that she and Oprah share the same loving, God-given spirit, and that she can be successful at giving the same way by Oprah's example. Thank you Oprah!
