Sports TV personality Jenn Sterger met with NFL officials for three hours Thursday regarding messages and photos allegedly sent to her by quarterback Brett Favre when the two worked for the New York Jets, the New York Post reported.

Sterger shared information and material with the league -- ‘a substantial amount beyond what had already been reported,’ said her manager, Phil Reese. He and Sterger’s lawyer accompanied her to the meeting with the NFL’s security chief and another investigator.

What’s been reported includes, um, ‘friendly’ voice mails, texts and ultimately naked pictures sent to Sterger from the same cellphone number; Favre admitted leaving the voice mails but denied having anything to do with the pictures.

Deadspin, which wrote up the allegations first in August, purchased pictures from a third party and published them in October. The ribald sports site -- which we love in part for its history of poking fun at athletes who snap and share naked cellphone pics -- said it learned of the messages and snapshots after meeting with Sterger in February about an unrelated project. Sterger did not go on the record with the site, however.

Since then, it’s been reported that the NFL has been given the names of two female massage therapists -- one married -- who told the Post they also were approached while working for the Jets.

Sterger was most recently a cohost on ‘The Daily Line,’ which the Versus network canceled as of Nov. 4 due to poor ratings.

‘I feel like at some point these guys need to be sat down and told, ‘Look, you’re not invincible,’’ she told the Ministry in April when asked for her thoughts about the Tiger Woods brouhaha. ‘For every dumb girl that’s willing to lay down for you, at some point there’s going to be one smart enough to know what to do with that.’

If ‘what to do with that’ includes handing over evidence that Favre violated the National Football League’s personal-conduct policy, he could face suspension or fines, according to the Post.
