Music City got the Hollywood treatment Monday night, as ‘Country Strong’ premiered in Nashville with stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim McGraw, Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester in attendance.

In the film, Paltrow plays a fallen country star — married to McGraw’s character — who finds herself inspired and her life complicated by the rising songwriter portrayed by Hedlund. At Regal Green Hills cinemas, Paltrow and her cast were joined by country stars including Faith Hill, Martina McBride and Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts.

Following the premiere screening, McGraw and real-life bride Hill joined director Shana Feste for an after-party at the Union Station Hotel, in the company of singer Dierks Bentley and actors James Marsden, Jonathon Schaech and Tobey Maguire, also one of the film’s producers. Paltrow also took time for a red carpet pic with Gabe Sipos, the young cancer survivor behind the Chemo Duck charity, which on Tuesday night will have a country-themed red carpet benefit featuring an auction of Chemo Ducks signed by, among others, Justin Bieber, Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Reba McEntire, Danny Gokey, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson, Florence Henderson, Julianne Hough, Slash, Kenny G, Elliott Yamin, Pat Boone and Evan Rachel Wood.

‘Country Strong’ opens in limited release in U.S. theaters Dec. 22, then goes wide Jan. 7.
