Demi Lovato enters treatment for 'issues,' quits Jonas Brothers tour

Teen star Demi Lovato has left a gig opening for the Jonas Brothers to seek help at a professional treatment center.

Lovato "left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time" reps for the singer said in Monday.

"Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions ... she is doing just that. Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time," the statement continued.

A fight with a female dancer on the tour was the "catalyst" that lead Lovato to seek help, TMZ says. The website also cites a source as saying drug addiction is not an issue on the table for the 18-year-old.

Lovato broke out in the Disney franchise "Camp Rock" where she starred alongside the Jonases. She's most recently led the sitcom "Sonny With a Chance" in addition to her solo musical efforts.

She's a lost girl and fame & money are worthless and doesn't guarantee she's even around people who look out for her. At 17 she got a massive tattoo on her left side. Something is very off here. She's been dealing with this "for some time"? Isn't it interesting that she's supposed to be such good friends with the Jonas Brothers, and her manager is in fact the Jonas Brother's own father. Don't even try to tell me that everyone in the Jonas family didn't know exactly what was going on with her, and yet now they are VERY quiet on the subject. Not even one word of support. Wow, with friends and management like Demi Lovato's got, no wonder she has major problems!

Demi is not ok. It is NOT the Jonas family's fault. They are her co-workers not her family. Her own family should have been paying her more attention. It is not Joe's fault. He is NOT a heartbreaker or a bad guy. Joe is very sweet, kind and has a huge heart. Ashley Greene also is not to blame. She didn't take Joe away from Demi. And if Joe wasn't dating Ashley that doesn't mean he would be dating Demi. Everyone needs to stop blaming the Jonas family and Ashley. The important thing is Demi gets treatment. She has far too much talent and potential not to.

Seriously? Leave her alone! It annoys me how the media is alway on everyones case. I believe Demi's different then all those crazy teen pop stars out there. So just leave her alone! if shes having some mental illness just let her and her family deal with it. All the media is doing is making it worse!
