'Dancing With the Stars': A threat, a lift, an endorsement and a poll!

"Dancing With the Stars" has already rolled out on the East Coast, so if you are trying to avoid spoilers you should not click here for a live blog of the show — especially if you don't want to know the scores before watching the dances.

Until showtime here on the West Coast, we will catch up on some "DWTS" housekeeping.

First, Jennifer Grey has told People she will not do the lift that she and Patrick Swayze made famous in "Dirty Dancing."

"Everyone should not expect that," said the actress, 50, who had three neck surgeries a year ago. We doubt anyone would put Baby in a corner tonight for obeying doctor's orders.

Kyle Massey was going into the performance show with an endorsement from Brandy, who was voted off last week.

Meanwhile, on the home-grown terror front, Bristol Palin was indeed the implied target of a threatening letter containing white powder that was found Friday in the CBS Studios mailroom. Los Angeles police, firefighters, hazmat officers and the FBI responded to the call, according to L.A. Now, and a section of the lot was evacuated.

The white substance was determined to be talcum powder — but the Feds don't think much of the baby powder defense.

If Bristol wins.....we riot.

Just remember Bristol--you sad excuse for a teenager, just write down the steps you are supposed to do on both of your hands, just like your mommy does when she tries to communicate with audiences...

Wow, people are mean. Whatev, people apparently watch this show, which makes it successful, and brings has-been celebs back in the spotlight- or, in Bristol Palin's case, a spotlight she didn't really need to be a part of. Out of nostalgia, I think Jennifer Grey should win, not to mention that I hope to look and move as good as her when I turn 50!!

Bristol shouldn't win. She's a Republican's daughter!
I think everyone's politics should be considered paramount over the actual quality of a person's performance or even competence in their field.
Hey, its worked out for the Oscars so far...

Sad day that people will actually hate on someone because they have a different belief system than they do. Does the word tolerance even exsist anymore? Try to say its about the "dancing" but if you wanted to see a competition of real dancers then watch the pro's. This country is great because EVERYONE has a voice. The only people bringing politics into this show are the people who complain and get angry over THIS! Seriously. As a country we have a lot more to complain about and can only overcome by working together and helping each other. We had an opportunity to embrace differences here. But if you don't see it like that, have it your way, let the HATE commence! I will at least respect your freedom to hate all you want. Let the true colors of your feathers fly.

I guess Doug and Thumper are the "compassionate and tolerant" party members of the "Professional Left." I doubt they would be so vicious if it was Obama's daughters. What a couple of losers.

Yes, we have so much to complain about in this country. After all we had 12 years of Repube rule and all it brought is one disastrous policy after another which left us in the dumpster that we're in today. So when the daughter of that Momma Grizzly Tea-drunk Repube party, media hungry hound is dancing as a finalist (which she did not deserve to be amongst the finalist), you betcha there will be a lot of griping going on amongst TV viewers who see a rigged contest when they see one. Viewers do yourselves a favor...just tune into CSIwhatever instead or PBS or Glenn Beck, NOT!...CSI is your best bet and of course there's Glee!

THAT DAY the DWW THE STARS .. began bringing in POLITICAL figures (rather, they began using kids of political figures) the show LOST all credible. Period.

THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD "STARS" means: PEOPLE WHO HAVE ACTUALLY DONE SOMETHING entertaining IN THEIR CAREER.

That this brought Kate Gosselin - another fast-fading nobody of note ... all lost its luster. ITS APPEAL was watching TRUE STARS in whatever stage their entertaining career AT is,,,, challenging themselves in any new area.

NOT WATCHING the newest NON-performer wanna-be demonstrating "how most improved the nobody special ... can be.

SORRY ABC. You have seriously ALIENATED OF THE REST COUNTRY that wasn't in the TEA BAG old people. Trying to also alienate THE key 18-49 demo WHAT YOU'RE AT it?

I get a kick out of the ignorant leftists who post here.

So, if I understnad the Democrats, voting for the worst option was a wonderful and historic event in the 2008 Presidential elections, but in 2010 it threatens the very credibility of reality TV.

Is that about it?

I get a kick out of the illogical Logical Thinking non-sense that get posted by conservative, right-wing looney, tea-drunken, grizzly loving, media hungry, hypocritical corporate-loving slaves who cry for reform but "please don't take away my Medicare and Social Security". How's unemployment working out for you?

"Sad day that people will actually hate on someone because they have a different belief system than they do. Does the word tolerance even exist anymore?"

You know, Kaissie, your quote describes exactly how I feel about Sarah Palin. She's got looks, money, an international platform, and ABSOLUTELY NO ACCOUNTABILITY for the divisive, narrow-minded statements she makes about Obama (who I dearly hope gets to debate her one-on-one someday) and about the future of our nation in general. Bristol's a nice girl, but I'm voting for Jennifer Grey, and against Sarah Barracuda on this one.

It's been said many times, but the "progressives" who claim Sarah Palin is stupid, hateful, ignorant or whatever can never give a coherent example, except that she didn't react quick enough to Katie Couric's pop quiz about newspapers. Never happened to Obama, who's questions were all pre-submitted by Axlerod, and with main and backup teleprompters in position with the mood lights. Swayze, want to see Sarah debate Barack someday? Me too, but especially if she demands to know why the first thing he did as President was to seal all his personal records.
