'The View': Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg storm off set after a religious war with Bill O'Reilly [poll]

 

Was Bill O'Reilly on "The View" or "Jerry Springer"?

Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg stormed off the set of their own show Thursday after getting into an argument with guest O'Reilly over whether it would be appropriate to build a mosque near Ground Zero in New York.

"You have just seen what should not happen. We should be able to have discussions without washing our hands and screaming and walking off stage," Barbara Walters commented while the walk-off applause subsided. "I love my colleagues, but that should not have happened."

With only four people remaining on the couch, Walters took O'Reilly to task for what she saw as demeaning all Muslims -- he apologized to anyone who felt he'd done that -- and Elisabeth Hasselbeck then brought up using the word "terrorist" versus "radical Islamist."

Goldberg and Behar returned quietly before the end of the segment. Ladies and gentleman, next time would you please use your words first?

O'Reilly just enjoys stirring up the females on the show. He is like a big brother who knows how to annoy and get a reaction. He does believe that the Muslims should not have a mosque in the 9-11 area. But our religious freedom laws make his belief unsupportable.

Their response was a result of his saying (after they asked why the Islamic Cultural Center shouldn't be built) "Muslims killed us".

That's like saying that because Tim McVeigh was Christian that "Christians killed them." (those folks who were murdered in Oklahoma City)

It would be nice, LATimes, if you would include the REASON why they walked off in the first place. Then people will know what they're responding to.

I don't like O'Reilly, but anyone who does not agree with liberals are just wrong in their eyes and should be silenced, no room for a bebate end of discusion. Agree with me or don't talk? Bill O’Reilly is NOT funny, although Bill is a bigot, an extremist and a very ill individual. Bill O’Reilly is NOT Archie Bunker and unlike “Archie” Bill has nothing new to teach, or lend our society. Bill O’Reilly is not any better than the terrorists who brought down the icons of our Big Apple, not any different than Hitler or Mussolini, or Franco, Stalin and Castro. Bill O’Reilly follows on the footsteps of Osama Bin Laden by definition... with all his hatred and bigotry, with his extremist attitude at a time when our nation needs to heal and carry on. We CANNOT, because of some, condemn a whole nation, race or religion...and ought to practice what we preach... to condemn a whole religion for the fault of some of its fools is to condemn ourselves in Hell for eternity, for we have behaved just the same throughout history. Our first mayor offense began here at home with the American Natives then we took on the Black Slaves and treated them as animals...then we began ransacking the natural resources of foreign countries bringing chaos into those lands...
