PREACH IT! Pictures of a bruised Rihanna: Still news?

When it comes to celebrity gossip, stories never really die. Just ask Graydon Carter, who keeps putting old dead people on the covers of his magazine. (Now, with Never Before Seen Photos of That Time When Hepburn Stood Next to Swifty Lazar!)

Take the case of Rihanna, who more than a year ago suffered assault via dashboard, care of now ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. That attack has been settled -- Brown has offered at least half a dozen non-apologies, and Rihanna has changed her hair -- but somehow, the story lives on. Why? Not because of any legitimate need to know, but because there are, apparently, new photos.

Well, OK, they're old photos, but no one has seen them, and that makes them news.

How do we even know there are photos? Because, per Radar Online, someone is shopping them around, of course. The photos were taken while Rihanna was still in the hospital and reportedly show a rainbow of cuts and bruises.

So far, no news outlet has agreed to buy or display the photos, but we're sure taking bets on who will stoop that low.

By doing this, she gets the limelight. She must also admit then, that she also has violent tendencies. NOBODY, noone, knows what was going on in Chris Browns mind, they do not know about the sincerity of his apology. It is shameful, an apology, is an apology. What a horrible thing to do. Whoever is responsible for leaking those types of pictures to the media is the lowest scum of the earth. I'm sick and tired of this bologna. Leave Chris Brown and Rihanna alone already. People make mistakes every day. At least Chris Brown paid his dues and has been trying to prove himself since day one. Rihanna constantly talks about him and I can't understand why. I feel like Chris Brown was set up then and set up now that he's finally doing well. Even if those pics get released I'll still be on Chris Brown's side because he was young and has been doing what he can to do right by his wrong. He has changed. CB is not a repeat offender and this whole picture leaking thing will be humiliating to both CB and Rihanna. Much love to you both...

i find it way too ironic that these photos may surface in a few weeks around the same time her album is supposed to drop. enough with this already. get some new news and move on. rihanna and chris have gone their separate ways but the media wont let it rest. it was a terrible situation for the both of them, mainly rihanna, bc the first photo was made public and i cant imagine her humiliation and embarrassment. no one wants their bruised face to be made public to the world. celebrity or not, rihanna and chris deserve privacy with this issue. whoever these people are who are threatening to release them should be found and prosecuted. if i were rihanna i would demand to kno who has the pictures and sue if they are made public. move the hell on already and stop trying to ruin people's lives. chris already knows his career will never be the same so theres no point in reminding the whole world what he did, as if anyone could forget. his career will not die, however, it will rise again jus like it's doing now. i love chris and rihanna and i wish the best for them both. jus let them do what they love best making music.

Now the rumor is that there are 4 photos, three of her and one of Chris Brown with a busted lip... If that is true, I no Rihanna didn't hit him in the mouth or hit him why he was driving because..... according to her in the 1,000 magazine and 20/20 interview's she never laid a hand on him. I wouldn't want her photos to surface but I would like to see what was he looking like after the fight, knowing the fight started inside a moving car with him at the wheel. And where in the sand hill is his mugshot, why hasn't it been made public????

However, domestic violence is a sensitive issue and even if the victim in this case is a celebrity, her pain and suffering needs to be taken into account.

Your tone in this "article" was so cavalier as if you were talking about a celebrity getting Botox or wearing a trendy outfit.

Do yourselves a favor and re-write this "article" to better reflect the seriousness of domestic violence.

The unfortunate truth is that we may never see the mugshot!
Chris Brown was arrested within Los Angeles city limits, and according to LA city law, mugshots are not released to the public unless the individual poses a threat to the public or its distribution will assist in the criminal investigation.

That's only within LA's city limits. If you get caught in another city in LA County, your coworker might still find the incriminating shot!
